CHARACTER, PROP, & BACKGROUND DESIGN

I had the awesome opportunity to design characters for season one of Lil Kev for BET+! I was actually brought on in May of 2023 to try some initial styles and then was brought back in September to continue under the amazingly talented Musa Brooker, Amanda Lake, and Cameron McClain. This was my first solely design job, and it was really cool to see what goes into making designs for something of this caliber. Below are some designs I worked on when designing alongside the Lil Kev team at ShadowMachine!

It was fun designing and storyboarding sequences for Season 3 of The Boys for Amazon Prime Video! I worked on designs with the goal of capturing the magic of the Golden Age of Animation in this exciting and highly collaborative experience. Beyond character, prop, and background designs, I handled storyboarding and revisions and even animated some key scenes. It was incredible and eye-opening to contribute to the many development stages of these sequences! Below are some designs I created alongside the incredible team at Six Point Harness!

"PLAY" MUSIC VIDEO SEQUENCE
(CHARACTER/ PROP DESIGN)

The "Play" music video for Apple TV+'s Yo Gabba Gabbaland was my first professional director role! It was such a fun time boarding and designing the characters. It was also invaluable getting the opportunity to lead a talented small team of artists to complete this sequence and communicate with Six Point Harness and Apple TV on notes!

I was a storyboard artist and character designer for the final season of FX's Atlanta. This was a really interesting one, haha! I was tasked to make a tutorial video in "The Goof Who Sat by the Door".
I remember completely destroying my A Goofy Movie VHS tape growing up because I watched it so much, so I consider myself truly lucky to get to work on this episode.

MINT, POTATO, AND PICKLE SEGMENTS
(CHARACTER/ PROP/ BACKGROUND DESIGN)
Designing and storyboarding sequences for Season 1 of Netflix's Waffles and Mochi was SO CHOICE! I was tasked with creating a children's storybook style for the Kid's Narration sequences. It was so fun and was an adorable experience following the kids' retellings of the origin of healthy foods! In these sequences, I designed characters, props, and backgrounds, as well as storyboarded on top of the live-action footage to make for an engaging experience for the kiddies.

When I turned 24, I started working on a pilot with my friends. I led a large team and guided them with direction on storyboards and with the character and prop design work I did! Here, you'll see expressions, lineups, and turnarounds.

I got the opportunity to direct a music video for independent artist RoyORaps. Directing a rockstar small team to create such an optimistic video was so cool! Besides directing, I got to do character designs based on the storyboards and Roy O. himself!
